A Life Recovery Programme

Graceland is totally unique in its approach. We focus on personal and spiritual growth. We want to afford every single person the opportunity to find the purpose that God has for them. We run life skills programmes, a Christian life recovery programme and a Christian support group meeting that is based totally on the Word of God. All our programmes are Christian based and we do not subscribe to any 12 step programme. We have trained Christian counselors that tend to the residents daily. We also offer equine assisted therapy. We have a medical facility on hand 24 hours a day and residents will be seen by a qualified nursing sister once a week. We have seen the need to create this programme so that struggles can be overcome and not just contained.

Graceland Life Recovery Centre – (NPO):

Graceland is a unique and highly successful Life Recovery centre, assisting people experiencing the challenges of depression, burnout, post traumatic stress, addictions et al. The programme centres on restoring the lifestyle, value and worth of men and women. Generally a three month programme, it also has a three month follow up after the time spent at the centre.
Equine therapy, counselling sessions, nurture, and adjusted thought development are utilised, set in a tranquil and peaceful environment of a small holding. The therapy is person focused, not problem centred, developing personal attributes and strengths to scope a new future. A psychiatric nursing sister, lecturer and unit manager with over twenty years experience is currently completing a Doctorate at Graceland and has expressed her opinion that the recovery rate and success of Graceland is outstanding.
The personnel other than management serving the centre include two medical Drs, a psychologist, physiotherapist, professional counsellors, a professional psychiatric nursing sister, in conjunction with the individuals own Psychiatrist.
